One Day National Seminar

One day national seminar on “Contemporary and Future World: Neohumanist vision of P. R. Sarkar” organised by Department of Philosophy, Tripura University, Suryanagar, West Tripura, India in collaboration with RU and RAWA.

One Day National Seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice- Chancellor, Tripura University ( Central) on 8th May, University Auditorium.

Dr. Sindhu Poudyal, Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy, Tripura University ( A Central University) and Convener of the program organised one day National Seminar in collaboration with Renaissance Universal(RU) and Reneissance Artists and Writers Association (RAWA) on the Theme “Contemporary and Future World : Neohumanist Vision of P.R Sarkar”/ Shrii Shrii Ananadamurtijii on 8th May 2023.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Tripura University Prof. Ganga Prasad Parsain was the Chief Guest and he highlighted the need of reviving the contemporary philosophical tradition in new light and such seminars and deliberations would definitely enrich the knowledge tradition of India which have been there since the time immemorial.

Acharya Divyachetanananda Avadhuta highlighted the basic foundations of Neo humanism of P R Sarkar. The three fold essence of human being and how in P R Sarkar’s Philosophy all the different approaches of the meaning of Human being and humanity at large are integrated in spirit.


Hon’ble Registrar Dr. Deepak Sharma was the Guest of Honour in the innaugral session and he highlighted the essence of contemporary Indian philosophies and contribution made by the philosophers on Humanism in some or the other form. Quoting several Contemporary philosophers like Sri Aurobindo, M N Roy and placing them vis a vis Contemporary western Philosophers who somehow couldn’t grasp the essence of the meaning of being human. He also mentioned about the necessity of including thoughts of contemporary Indian Philosophers like P. R. Sarkar in University curriculum for the benefit of society.


The session was chaired by Prof. Aditya Kumar Mohanty, Senior Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Tripura University summerize the various facets of Shrii P. R. Sarkar’s Philosophy. He holds when we read his Philosophy we need to read him without keeping any bias. Being a devotee of his Philosophy needs more of exploration and intellectual deliberation through his Philosophy.
The welcome speech was delivered by Dr. A. J. Sarma the Head of the Department of Philosophy, Tripura University. Concept note of the Seminar was read out by Dr. Sindhu Poudyal, Convener of the National Seminar.


There were other cultural performances like singing Prabhat Samgiita by Kanika Debnath and her team and dance performance on Prabhat Sangiita by Susmita Debnath and her students from Ananda Marga School, Bishalgarh, Tripura were also performed during innaugal session of the one day National Seminar.
